Michael Kim to Defend at John Deere Classic
Michael Kim, who won the John Deere Classic in record fashion last year, will be back to defend his title July 8-14 at TPC Deere Run . Kim, who shot a tournament record 27-under par 257 and won by a record eight shots, will be trying to win his second PGA Tour event when he returns to the Quad Cities this summer.

Kim’s 27-under par total erased Steve Stricker’s record of 26-under 256 set in 2010. The 25-year-old native of Seoul, South Korea who grew up in San Diego also broke the 7-shot margin-of-victory record set by David Frost at Oakwood Country Club in 1993. He was the 22nd player to earn his first victory at the PGA Tour’s Quad Cities event since it began in 1971.
TPC Deere Run Celebrates 20th Year as Site of the 2019 John Deere Classic
This year’s John Deere Classic will be played at TPC Deere Run for the 20th consecutive time in the 49-year history of the Quad Cities’ PGA Tour event. The rolling 7,268-yard par 71 layout first hosted the John Deere Classic shortly after the course opened in the year 2000, when rookie Michael Clark II won the event on the fourth hole of a two-man playoff with Kirk Triplett.

"We are very proud that TPC Deere Run has proven to be the kind of high-quality golf course that has consistently identified champions who are among the elite in their profession," said John Deere Classic tournament director Clair Peterson. "Over the first 20 years at Deere Run, our winners have included major champions Zach Johnson, Jordan Spieth, and Vijay Singh as well as other multiple Tour winners, such as Steve Stricker, Bryson DeChambeau, Sean O'Hair, Jonathan Byrd, Ryan Moore, Brian Harman and Kenny Perry," Peterson noted. Many played on Ryder Cup and/or Presidents Cup teams.
Golf’s Future Stars Return To The Donald Ross Golf Course At Historic French Lick!
Catch the future stars of the game July 9-13 as the Road to the LPGA passes through French Lick for The Donald Ross Classic. The Symetra Tour event will showcase 150 aspiring pro female golfers competing for a chance to secure a spot on the LPGA Tour. This is a great chance to watch and perhaps even interact with up-and-coming pros in the backdrop of the historic Donald Ross Course. Support a great cause, too, as tournament proceeds will benefit Orange County Habitat for Humanity.

Orange County Habitat for Humanity helps bring community together to provide home ownership opportunities to the families who do not presently have adequate housing and who do not have the financial means to purchase decent housing, by building new single-family dwellings using donations of time, money, materials and labor from various community sources. Since its founding in 1992, 29 new homes have been constructed in Orange County.

2019 Western Amateur Championship - History Repeats At Point O’ Woods Golf & Country Club
Point O’ Woods Golf & Country Club , an exclusive club tucked away in a secluded and wooded area of Benton Harbor, Michigan, is extremely proud and excited to once again host the prestigious Western Amateur Championship on July 30-August 3 for the 41st time in the history of the club. In the sixty years that the club has been open for play, The Point has hosted the Western Amateur in 1963, 1965, and in 1971-2008 for a total of forty times -- more than any other club in the nearly 120 years that the event has been played!

The Western Amateur Championship is open to the public and offers free admission. Gearing up for the local community and neighborhoods to attend, this event is expected to draw crowds from nearby states of Indiana and Illinois, with a large visitor contingency coming from the Chicagoland area during the peak summer vacation time.
