registrationRegistration Pause Day

With Registration set to begin shortly, please be reminded that Registration Pause Day is July 25. No registration activity will take place on this day (other than the running of the waitlist engine). This is a great opportunity for departments to review their enrolments and consider adjustments before Open Registration begins.

researchOntario Research Fund-Research Excellence Program (ORF-RE)

The ORF-RE program provides an excellent opportunity for research teams (usually from multiple eligible institutions) to obtain operating funds for research of national/international significance that has clear commercialization, economic, and/or societal benefits for Ontario and is supported by the private sector.  ORF-RE will provide 1/3 of the funding, while 1/3 comes from the institution (mostly in the form of in-kind contributions), and 1/3 from the private sector (cash and in-kind).

The minimum ORF-RE award is $200K and the maximum is $4M, inclusive of overheads.

All research supported by ORF-RE funds must be conducted in Ontario at an eligible institution.

We are asking that an internal Notice of Intent be submitted by Friday July 19 and strongly encourage all applicants to confirm private sector support as soon as possible as this support will drive the nature of the research and related milestones as well as the size and expenses in the budget.

The ORF-RE program has significant progress and financial reporting and audit requirements.

Guidelines and an application form are now available on the MEDJCT website .

An internal Guide will follow.
