YiJiang Xu from China
“Studying here makes me happy. I found myself here at UD. I found my real passion: economics. It has made my life very different. I think if you put yourself in a different environment, you have to push yourself and that’s how you find your true self and the meaning of your life. And if you do something you love, it makes you very happy.”
YiJiang Xu is an Economics PhD student and one of OISS' friendly graduate assistants. After earning a master’s degree in Biology in China, she came to the U.S. in 2015 to study English and Economics. She misses the food from her hometown, Cheng Du, which is famous for its spicy hot pots and panda. YiJiang says she loves her department and Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics and is so glad she came to UD. YiJiang is this week’s #FriendofOISS.
