SFX Boys Basketball Winter Tournaments!

6th grade Boys Blue Team: 1st Place at the Saints Peter and Paul tournament in Naperville!
7th grade Boys Blue Team: 1st Place in the 13th Annual Lombard Christmas Basketball Classic!
6th grade Boys Blue Team:  2nd Place in the 13th Annual Lombard Christmas Basketball Classic - defeated by to only 2 points. 7th grade Boys Gold and 8th grade Boys Gold gave solid performances!

2019-2020 National Geographic GeoBee

The St. Francis Xavier Geography Bee will be tomorrow, Thursday, January 9th in Unity Hall at 3:20 pm.

For the 32nd year, the National Geographic Society is holding the National Geographic GeoBee for students in the fourth through eighth grade. Thousands of student schools are competing for this year's contest from across the US and the five US territories. The champion of the St. Francis Xavier GeoBee will advance to the next level of competition, a qualifying test to determine state competitors. We wish good luck to this year's contestants:

The next Junior Falcon Club Event for PS3, PK4, K & Gr. 1...

We are excited to announce the next JFC Event - Pack the Place for Falcon Boys Basketball this coming Tuesday, January 14th at SFX Gymnasium. Lots of fun planned for the evening for your little Falcons so we hope you can join us. Here is what we have in store: 

  • Check-in at the door for a Food Voucher* for a Slice of Pizza, Apples, and Juice Box
  • Designated Cheering Section for JFC
  • Halftime Activities at 5 pm and 5:45 pm Games for JFC 

WIGS or FUNNY HATS ENCOURAGED! Athletic Chairs are encouraging us to WIG OUT this Pack the Place, so feel free to come wearing a Wig or your Favorite Hat!

Don't Forget to Wear your JFC T-Shirt and show your Falcon Pride.

Open House Request...

As you know, the Robot Playground is a popular area at Open House!

Once again this year, we will need 5-6 Northstates Superyard play yard gates to make our robot playground in the middle of the gym .

Last year we had several families who let us borrow theirs for the afternoon. Please contact SFX technology faculty Amy Ryan aryan@sfxlg.org or Allison Sowa asowa@sfxlg.org if you are able to lend us one!

This is your last chance to sign up for Junior Great Books! This is a program that offers a weekly book club during lunch and recess during the cold winter months. The students read a short story and then discuss it while eating their lunch.

In a continued effort to keep the parking spaces in front of school open for pick-up of half day Early Childhood students, please remember to park south of the playground exit on Waiola (where the grass begins) when at school for more than 5 minutes.
