Everyone has the power to make a difference.
Thank you, Foster Friend, for choosing to be here and to step forward for children and youth in care. While no one can do everything, everyone has the power to do something.

Below, please find our current Call to Action, which addresses a specific need a child or youth has this month. Additionally, please find suggestions of other ways you can help and a link to our last newsletter and it's ideas. Choose something that speaks to you, that calls to your heart and your interests. There is an opportunity for everyone!

If you have an idea or would like to engage in one of these suggestions, please contact us using the "Ready-Set-Help" button below to get going. Thank you for being a Foster Friend!
Ways to Help
There are so many ways to help children in foster care! Many are free, some involve very little cost, and some involve more of an investment. Whatever you can offer, be it your time or a durable good, you can have an impact!
Hire a Foster Youth

Youth in care often have low employment rates. They may have a lot of obligations, like meetings with case managers, social workers, and family visits. They also may lack confidence. If you have the ability to reach out to us with job opportunities for part time work, or job training opportunities, our young adults would be excited to seize the day!
Flower Child

Do you have a beautiful flower garden? Consider making a bouquet and dropping it off, to be given to a child or foster parent. Not blessed with a green thumb? Pick up an inexpensive arrangement at the grocery store and donate it for the same purpose.

A bouquet is a sure way to make someone's day!
Birthday Benevolence

Choose to donate birthday gifts! Ask friends and family to purchase things for kids in care, like sunscreen, natural hair care products, pajamas, books, socks, or school supplies. Take pictures with friends, make it a celebration, and deliver it to our office or ask for us to arrange a pick-up!

It is a very generous way to start your next year of life!
Foster Friend Gratitude!
A huge thank you to our Foster Friends who supported a brand new high school graduate by providing college dorm necessities and comforts to start her university career on the right foot! We are so grateful and she was overwhelmed!

We'd also like to thank Miss T for donating a deliciously decadent "Ice Cream Sundae" basket to a foster family, complete with toppings of every kind and a gift card to purchase the dairy delights! She also provided backpacks we will be able to use as Welcome Bags for newly arriving children or for when the school year begins!

Foster Friends, every action you take is SO appreciated! It makes everyone's day brighter and helps us know that we have the support of our community surrounding and uplifting our team! THANK YOU!
