March is National Ladder Safety Month
|
National Ladder Safety Month is an annual event dedicated exclusively to the promotion of ladder safety. During the month of March, National Ladder Safety Month brings heightened awareness to the importance of the safe use of ladders through resources such as increased training, national dialogue and more. The goals of National Ladder Safety Month are to:
- Decrease ladder-related injuries and fatalities
- Lower the rankings of ladder-related safety citations on OSHA’s yearly “Top 10 Citations List”
- Increase in-person ladder trainings
- Increase the number of companies and workers who inspect and properly dispose of old, damaged or obsolete ladders

OSHA #6005 Collateral Duty Course for Other Federal Agencies offers the federal employee the opportunity to learn basic workplace safety and health hazard recognition and introduces federal agency collateral duty safety and health personnel to the OSH Act, Executive Order 12196, 29 CFR 1960 & 29 CFR 1910.
This training enables participants to effectively assist agency safety and health officers with inspection and abatement efforts. A field inspection of a government facility will be arranged to provide hands on experience.

This course provides an introduction to basic accident investigation procedures and describes accident analysis techniques to help participants gain the basic skills necessary to conduct an effective accident investigation at their workplace.

- Is separate from enforcement, so these services do not result in penalties or citations
