Let Freedom Ring
Blessings on your Freedom Weekend celebrations and safe travels if you are on the road! As we take time to enjoy this holiday, we also give thanks for the freedom we have together in Christ! Join us, if you can, for worship Sunday morning at 9:30 am as we wrap up our “Mayberry Madness – Proverbs” series and consider what it means that we are called to be patient – certainly an appropriate topic as we wait patiently(?) as the call process proceeds.

By the way, it’s not too late to submit a suggestion of a favorite bible story or scripture passage. And, first impressions do make a difference, which is why you are invited to share in the “I CAN HELP make the Rejoice SIGN shine" project. If you’re not present on Sunday morning to sign up, call the church office and offer your time and talents.

Peace!
Pastor Marlene

Amazing Stories
What’s your favorite bible story? The options are almost endless - which is why we don’t “hear” many of them as part of worship. But now is your opportunity to suggest a scripture passage or story and submit it as a suggestion to be used for worship services in August. Can’t find or don’t remember chapter and verse? No problem. Simply name the story and we’ll take it from there. Suggestion slips (and baskets to receive them,) will be in the gathering area Sunday morning.

Deadline for suggestions is Sunday, July 14. Thanks for your help!

Food Shelf
Minnesota summers were made for trips to the cabin, boat rides on the lake, and farmers market outings, not food shelf visits. But that’s the reality for thousands of Minnesotans. Children are home from school and the family budget is tight. You can make a difference this year by donating to the Clearwater - Clear Lake Food Shelf throughout the month of July. The challenge funds will proportionally match your donation. Your financial donation will go further due to our buying power.

A noisy offering will be taken on Sunday, July 28 to support the Summer Challenge for our local Food Shelf.

The Clearwater - Clear Lake Food Shelf is looking for additional Monday morning helpers. Every Monday the Food Shelf receives a delivery from 2HH (Second harvest) between 9:30–11:00 a.m. Lite/moderate lifting is required. Please contact Karie Monk-Gohman at 320.290.9216 or show up Monday mornings and ask for Susie Brown.
Quick Reference Church Directory
Have you been trying to contact someone and can’t find them is the latest directory? Since it will probably be another couple of years before a new picture directory happens, we are planning to get a Quick Reference Church Directory to you in the near future.

Rhoda Senkler and Becky Brzinski will be around on Sunday mornings with the most current information we have. Please look for them and verify or update your name, address, home/cell phone numbers and email addresses.

Don’t be alarmed if we don’t have your name listed, we are just starting the process. We want to be sure to include everyone with accurate information.
Not One... But Two Chances to Win
We’re ramping things up a little earlier this year. Our Fall Festival Raffle tickets are available NOW. AND there are two raffles instead of one. This earlier availability gives you the opportunity to take some along to sell; on vacation, to family reunions, to family sporting events, to cabin or camping or wherever else you may be heading this summer. Use the portable kit, easy to set up - call the church office at 320.558.6851 for details.

Raffle Number 1: Our traditional $1 per ticket raffle with several amazing prizes. There are 3,000 tickets and we would like to sell them all – for the first time. We have been close, but maybe this is the year we sell them all! As in the past, we would like each Rejoice family to take responsibility for selling/buying at least 10 tickets (or as many as you are able).

AND

Raffle Number 2: A beautiful queen size plus outdoorsy patterned quilt made and designed by Peggy Kortuem for the benefit of Rejoice. There are only 500 ticket for this raffle so chances of winning are greatly enhanced. This is a single prize raffle and tickets are $5 each. See the quilt on display in the Narthex (Celebration Hall). Check it out and take a chance!
p.s. we are also looking for people willing to sell raffle tickets on Sunday mornings. Find the Fall Festival table to sign up to help, and please consider sponsoring or sharing sponsorship of one of our raffle prizes. If you would like to donate items, please call Carol at the Rejoice office, 320.558.6851.

Remember, save the date: Fall Festival, September 29, 2019
Join the Lawn Mowing Team
Join the lawn mowing team! Generally, the lawn crew meets on Thursdays (depending on the weather) throughout the summer months, and gets the grass cut and grounds spiffy in a couple of hours. Mowers, yard tools, and cheerful co-workers are provided. Sign–up sheet is located in Celebration Hall.
Be the Apple of Someone's Eye
Do you have any old specs laying around? Please bring your old eyeglasses for re-use. The collection box is on the Sign Up table.

Thank you,

Clean Your Closet for a Cause
When you are spring cleaning, downsizing , and finally deciding that you will donate those items your family no longer needs, you may bring them to Rejoice. A space is available for your treasures to be stored for the Fall Festival.

The proceeds of sales at Granny’s Attic or the Silent Action will double your satisfaction. You not only organize your home, but also benefit your Rejoice home. You may drop off items Mondays through Thursdays between 8:00-3:30. Please call the church at 320.558.6851 and we will assist you.
