Mourning the Loss of 6 North Atlantic Right Whales

We are heartbroken to learn that six North Atlantic Right Whales have died.  The deaths are devastating for the reproductive future of this endangered species.

To date we've lost:
Wolverine, 9 year old male
Punctuation, 40 year old female
   Comet, 34 year old male
Unnamed, 11 year old female
Unnamed (Catalog #3329), 16 year old female
Clipper, age unknown, female

Of the four females identified, Punctuation had even become a grandmother.   Scientists are continuing to work on identifying these unfortunate deaths. Read more about the impacts of this terrible loss  here
