Marquette Collects $1,400 for Breast Cancer Research
Proceeds from Denim Day, Volleyball Bake Sale/Dig Pink Night will go to American Cancer Society, Side-Out Foundation
With 1 in 8 eight women worldwide being diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives, the disease has either directly affected you or someone you care about. The World Health Organization has tabbed it the most common cancer amongst women.

In conjunction with the American Cancer Society and Side-Out Initiative, Marquette Catholic High School and Marquette Athletics combined to raise $1,400 - 100% of which will go directly to those organizations for breast cancer research.

The school's Denim Day, which was held this past Wednesday, raised $725 while Marquette Volleyball's Dig Pink Night generated $675 between the program's bake sale and donations received during their match versus Kouts.

"I want to thank our students and families who continue to step up and display the generosity and empathy that we work to instill in them," principal Allyson Headd said.
