Celebrate Independence in Revolutionary New Jersey
There's no better place to celebrate a historic Independence Day than New Jersey! Beyond the amazing fireworks and barbecues, several sites around the state will host events with a distinctly Revolutionary flair.
Head to New Brunswick for a reenactment of the first celebration of Independence Day, the reopening of Buccleuch Mansion and more, all part of Middlesex County's eight-day long Revolutionary Celebration.
Celebrate the Fourth of July and freedom of the press at Potter's Tavern
in Bridgeton, and discover how patriots risked charges of treason while publishing a pro-independence newspaper!
Watch our website
for a growing list of July 4 events... and plan a truly Revolutionary Independence Day!

Revolutionary Spirit hits NJ ballparks!
Great baseball and 18th century life came together once again as Crossroads and the Somerset Patriots hosted Revolutionary Spirit Night in June. Baseball fans were immersed in New Jersey's Revolutionary heritage from the moment they arrived at TD Bank Ballpark to the end of the game, with reenactor encampments outside the park, the first pitch by General Washington to start the contest, Heritage Partner exhibits on the concourse, and a celebratory firing of Mott's Brigade cannon after the fireworks. Read more and enjoy photos from the event on our website.
If you missed out on the fun, you've got another chance on August 6 as the Trenton Thunder host us for American Revolution Night! Come early to visit encampments of Patriot and Loyalist troops outside Arm & Hammer Park, meet General Washington and Ben Franklin, visit with Heritage Partners and more. We're adding more attractions as the date nears, so visit our website
for more information on attractions and tickets.

Heritage Partner Program welcomes new, renewed members
Heritage Area Partners are at the core of the Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area. While each location and organization tells its own story, together they form a tapestry of experiences that make an indelible mark on our communities and neighbors.
Historic sites and organizations across New Jersey are enlisting in the cause of heritage tourism as they become Crossroads Heritage Partners. While they tell their part of the story of the American Revolution here in the Garden State, each Partner enjoys programming and marketing support that helps them reach even more visitors. Partner representatives also get advance notice on Crossroads-sponsored workshops and professional development seminars to help make the most of their organizations' historical offerings.
This month, we're happy to welcome two new Heritage Partners:
