Making Your Comeback - FREE Webinar
Tuesday, July 7th | 10:31am
As we recover from the pandemic and the economic setback it has created, there are key skills that move our businesses forward.

In this program, we will talk about the mindset and skill set requirements of success in a post-COVID economy. The world will be very different for months, if not years, to come. Let's win bigger than ever before and let's do it together.

• We must master the skills of creating psychological safety to return to doing business.
• We must master the science of bringing in new revenue.
• We must master the art of customer engagement.
• We must stay ahead of the Human Resource shifts we are facing.
• We must create a fully engaged workforce that produces at the top of their game.

Join us for an incredible 1-hour webinar as well as a 30-minute Q&A session after the program. The event is FREE, but registration is required via Eventbrite.

Sign Up Now for Chamber Open Golf Tournament on
July 23rd at Ross Rogers Golf Complex
We are thrilled to announce that our 21st Annual Chamber Open will be held as planned on Thursday, July 23rd at the Ross Rogers Golf Complex. We have been working with city officials and are staying up to date on any restrictions that may still be in effect so that we can hold this event in the safest manner possible with modifications.

We will be announcing in the coming weeks the schedule, planned activities, and any changes to the traditional scramble format we have used in the past.

We have a limited number of spots available for sponsors and teams to participate in this fun, outdoor networking activity that has grown to be one of the largest one-day charity tournaments in the area. If you are interested in a team or sponsorship opportunities to get more recognition for your business, contact Jason at 342-2018 or Denise at 373-7800. Take a look at our website for a list of sponsors who have already secured their spot, and watch for more.
Amarillo Intern Experience through Amarillo EDC
Sign your interns up for the 2020 Amarillo Intern Experience!
Get your students connected with others their age so they can take root in our community!

Last year we piloted the Amarillo Intern Experience and it was a roaring success! We had heard from many employers that many college-aged interns from out of town struggle to get acclimated and make friends outside of the company they're interning for. So we decided to get them together and show off our city. By meeting up with outside interns, experiencing different parts of Amarillo, and connecting with the Elevate Amarillo young professionals, our future workforce began to put down roots right here in our community.

"I'm from the Amarillo area, and just in this internship alone, I've learned more about the city: places to eat, things to do, people around town. I really enjoyed the interaction between different intern groups. The events were fun for all ages; our group alone ranged from ages 19-30." Pantex intern

This year, we are opening this program up to the public for FREE! If you have a college intern that you want to start growing in this community as well as your organization, sign up today! We will be hosting two events this summer, a Kickoff and a VIP Downtown Restaurant Crawl! Your interns will not want to miss this!
Once you sign up, you'll receive the schedule of events along with Summer Things to Do for your interns and temporary housing resources, which can be challenging for interns to find. Let's build our future workforce together! Be sure to sign up this week...the first event will take place on June 30th!

Thursday, June 25
We invite you to attend the next Business After Hours from 5-7pm on Thursday, June 25th at the Will Rogers Range Riders new Dance Pavilion at 313 West Loop 335. "Business After Hours" are FREE business networking events for current and future members of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. Bring some business cards and meet some new faces.  We encourage you to practice safe social distancing and forego normal handshaking and greet your friends with an elbow bump, fist bump, or air hug for the safety of you and those around you. Masks are encouraged, but not required. There will be food and drinks and fun...and most importantly...a new spin on networking. Please wear or bring your own name tag as we will not be providing a sign-in table or name tags for this event. Your participation in this event is strictly voluntary, and your attendance is assumed at your own risk.

Enjoy this free Business After Hours that is combined with a celebration of media, VIP’s, and Sponsors as a preview to the Will Rogers Range Riders WRCA Sanctioned Ranch Rodeo that will take place July 2-4. Be sure and get more information or your weekend rodeo pass at https://www.wrrangeriders.com/.
