Heilicher Hallway Chat

Please join us on Heilicher Hallway Chat, a private Facebook group for parents and alumni. The purpose of this group is for casual conversation like the type you might have in the hallway or the parking lot when you have five minutes to chat. Heilicher Hallway Chat is also a place that we use to remind people of upcoming events, volunteer needs, and school closures due to weather.  The idea here is not to kvetch about the school or policies. We want this to be a fun, easy, and entertaining space to bring the Heilicher community together online. Be sure to join us, by searching "Heilicher Hallway Chat" and be added to the group today.
Bring the Change - For Victims of Hurricane Florence

All students can participate by collecting change in their own bags. Please bring the coin donations to the box in the front office.  Third grade students will be sent home with plastic zippered bags on Monday, October 8. Bags of change will be collected on October 17 in the students classroom.

Students are learning about hurricanes in their science class and have acquired a deep understanding of the level of devastation these events can cause. As Hurricane Florence struck the east coast, we began to think about what we could do to help. We have also been learning about t'shuvah and t'zedakah, and decided to dedicate ourselves to helping those affected by these storms.  Funds will be donated to Operation Nechama, a local organization that is assisting with clean up.
Grade 8 Memoirs on Display

Now through the end of October, grade 8 students invite you to come and read their memoirs. These stories represent important moments in their lives and are hanging on the bulletin boards in the 2nd floor hallway.

Please take a copy off the wall and read it at your leisure. When you are done, please hang it back up on the same thumbtack. If you feel inclined, be sure and find the author and let them know that you loved their story. Thank you!
