October 5, 2018

This Sunday, we're launching our new series, Elephant in the Room. For those unfamiliar with the term, an "elephant in the room" refers to an obvious issue everyone is aware of and unwilling to discuss. As imperfect people being redeemed by the blood of Christ, we have a lot to talk about and address, but we don't. Why is that? Well, this Sunday, we need to talk. About what, you ask? Well, if it's truly an elephant in the room, all of us already know, right? Guess we'll just have to wait until Sunday to find out!

Pastor Trevor will be speaking in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services; Pastor Jeff
will be speaking in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship Services. See you Sunday!

Share The Warmth

Help us ensure local school children have the coats they need for winter! Schools will identify children in need and then gather coat size information. Families/individuals at Mt Horeb will "claim" tickets for the coats they are willing to purchase. Coats should be returned to the church by October 28 for  distribution throughout Lexington County. Tickets  will be available to pick up beginning this weekend at our mission tables!  Contact Chris Winston at   [email protected]   for more information.

Concerts at Mt. Horeb

We are excited for our 13th season in concert ministry. Our first concert will be October 28th at 7PM with Francesca Battistelli. Tickets are available online now or in between services on Sunday at the Guest Services desks.  If you are interested in supporting this ministry through Friends of Music, contact Melvin Martin at [email protected].

Sisterhood

Ladies! Come connect with women on a very personal level by standing up for your sister. Joeli Mulligan will also be sharing with us this evening about the struggles women face and the redeeming power of Christ. Come dressed comfortable and invite a friend on October 12th at 6:30! Please bring feminine hygiene products as a donation to a homeless mission in Columbia. Let's make an impact in the lives of all our sisters! Please register online from our website.

Fall Festival

We are so excited to announce our church wide Fall Festival date of November 10th from 3 to 7 pm. There will be festivities for the whole family to enjoy.... live music, food trucks, inflatables, rides, petting zoo and of course fireworks! We have cards for you to take and invite your friends and neighbors. Ask the Guest Services desk for information, if you would like to help us in making this a community event.
