Update on Cannabis - Searching for Balance

George Kolodner, M.D. is a board certified addiction psychiatrist who specializes in the intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment of substance use disorders. He founded Kolmac Outpatient Recovery Centers in 1973. Today, he serves as the Chief Innovation Officer. He works to increase awareness of IOP and keep Kolmac on the cusp of leading-edge treatment for women and men.

This presentation aims to:

1. Provide information about the biology of cannabis and its impact on the body
2. Describe current cannabis use trends in young adults
3. Review the range of clinical problems relating to cannabis use
4. Trace the evolution of cannabis policy in the U.S.

This course addresses Counselor Skill Groups Clinical Intake and Screening and Clinical Assessment.
