Do you know the faces that keep our 230 animal species happy and healthy? Our zookeepers work in 100+ degree heat, clean up all types of poop, and make sure our animals have the best lives. We have four different keeper departments: IAC (Interpretative Animal Collection), HIIZ (Herpetology, Ichthyology, and Invertebrate Zoology), M&O (Mammalogy& Ornithology), and RFF (Raptor Free Flight). Thank Our Zookeepers!

Volunteer Viernes

We would like to congratulate our volunteers of the month for August: Sue Parker and Malissa Mada.  Sue is an extremely talented Art Institute volunteer who dedicated her time to working in both art galleries. Malissa volunteers with the Interpretive Animal Collection. She has been a tremendous help this summer - volunteering two or three times a week. We could not do what we do without them. Thank you for being such a great addition to the family.
