AMP SoCal's next innovation forum will be assisting small and medium-sized manufacturers wanting to learn about the Baja California (Mexico) Industrial Sector which represents access to $11 billion of supplier opportunities. Baja multinational corporations are keen to connect with California-based manufacturers that can support OEM needs.

Today is Manufacturing Day!

Manufacturing Day is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. It addresses common misconceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show what manufacturing is — and what it isn’t. By working together, manufacturers will begin to address the skilled labor shortage they face, connect with future generations, take charge of the public image of manufacturing, and ensure the ongoing prosperity of the whole industry.

Dr. Daniel P. Raymer, noted aircraft designer, educator, and author of the best-selling textbook "Aircraft Design: A Conceptual Approach," will give a talk on the historical development of the key technologies which have allowed the development of today's aircraft. Fun and not too technical, this presents the first reasonably successful and influential implementations of the design features that have become a common part of the Aircraft Design toolbox. It isn't about aviation records or famous pilots, it's about the aircraft and the designers whose lead we follow to this day. The talk also sneaks in some of the fundamentals of aircraft design and analysis through a historical context..

Space-System Additive Manufacturing Technical Workshop
