Primary Care Opportunities
The department of Family and Community Medicine at The Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical
Center holds the designation of the oldest academic Family Medicine department in the country. The Penn
State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is located in Hershey, Pennsylvania and takes pride in our
advances as an institution in cancer research along with a state of the art Children's Hospital.
We are actively recruiting researchers and physicians to join our decorated faculty comprised of 72
physicians, 19 Advanced Practice Clinicians and 4 Behavioral Scientists in addition to a number of
Physician Researchers, Research Assistants and Data Analysts.
Primary Care Research Fellowship
Our goal is to recruit and train motivated individuals interested in becoming leaders in primary care
disciplines to address the evolving healthcare system needs. Fellows trained through our two-year
program will receive advanced training in primary care medicine research areas and develop skill sets
and scholarly potential as future academic physicians. Fellows will be appointed at the level of clinical
instructor in the Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine or the Department of
Family and Community Medicine.
