Curry in a Hurry is gaining recognition!
Last week, Nalini joined me in New York for the Summer Fancy Food Show . It's a rare occasion for her to join me at a trade show, but I'm so glad she came. We had a great time! We featured Curry in a Hurry Madras , and the aroma was so fragrant, people were drawn to our booth from several aisles away. 😁

Our retail partners are reporting the same result when they do in-store demos. Curry in a Hurry is flying off the grocery store shelves! We are so excited that customers are enjoying this authentic Indian curry sauce.
At the 14th Annual International Herb Symposium Curry in a Hurry also won First Place in the Simply Delicious category!
What's in the works?
If you've been keeping up with me for a while, you know I love bringing in "new" products, which are usually new for our store, but actually have rich roots in Indian tradition. One of our newest products that fits this description is dried bitter melon , which is regularly enjoyed by people in India, China, Thailand, Cambodia and other Southeast Asian countries. I personally LOVE bitter melon. True to it's name, it is extremely bitter, but it is easily balanced with sweet, spicy, and savory flavors.

We are also working on bringing you some organic traditional Indian mouth fresheners! I usually mix my own and carry them around with me, and if you've visited an Indian restaurant, you may have seen a bowl of seeds at the front. These bowls of seeds usually hold fennel or a mix of fennel and cardamom seeds. In the Indian medicinal system (Ayurveda), these seeds are chewed after a meal for both digestion and to freshen the breath.

Help us protect medicinal plants!
You may or may not know that I'm an herbalist, and as such, I am very interested in protecting medicinal plant life. In recent years, we've seen a resurgence in the interest in wild medicinal plants in mainstream culture, so it's more important than ever to protect these traditional resources, while still helping them to thrive so more people can access their unique benefits.

This mission is why Pure Indian Foods will donate $1 per jar of Herbal Ghee sold to United Plant Savers for the months of July, August, and September 2019.

United Plant Savers works to protect native medicinal plants of the United States and Canada and their native habitat while ensuring an abundant renewable supply of medicinal plants for generations to come.
We are launching a new incentive program for YOU (our loyal customers!) where you can get a free 8 oz bag of our Organic Ground Malabar Black Pepper with retail orders over $150. In the future, we will add different products, so stay tuned. :)
