What makes a culture important? Here at Bassett we have many wonderful different cultures and it's time to celebrate them!

Each month this year, we will be sharing a new perspective of a culture represented by our families.  What are some of the traditions a culture holds as important and dear?  How unique is this cultural dress?  How different is the housing in this culture's native land? Have you ever tried other culture's foods?

Do you have some insight into your own family culture outside of the United States?
  • We will be looking for our community of families to share their culture to help us learn a new perspective of our world. As a school community, we will be displaying artifacts from different cultures.
  • We could use your help in obtaining items for display. All items will be in our locked display case outside the office and will be returned to you.
  • During October, we will be displaying items and pictures from Mexico! In November, we will be sharing the culture of India.

Feel free to stop by to take a look! If you would like to share, please email Mrs. Gedeon, our ESL teacher, at gedeons@wlake.org, call her at 440.835.6330 (ext. 2206), or stop by the office!
