A few years ago my two sisters, two cousins and I visited the Crystal Forest in Arizona as part of our annual sister/cousin retreat.
After walking through the incredible array of petrified wood, huge boulders of rose quartz, smoky quartz and all colors of calcite, malachite, clear quartz, etc., we were "flying high" from the intense energy emanating from these wonders of nature.
When we reached the exit of the protected area we sat on a retaining wall to look back at the colors of the desert, taking in more of the crystalline energy before leaving.
Suddenly, several crows landed on the wall near us and sidled up close to where we were sitting and began 'talking.'
The crow in the front kept turning to look me straight in the eye and then it would open its beak as if to talk. IIt was neither afraid or shy; it had something to say. I just had to figure out how to figure it out.
I already knew Native American lore speaks of crows carrying "magic." It also describes ravens and crows as creatures of metamorphosis, symbolizing
change and transformation.They are also known as tricksters.
As the symbolic "keeper of secrets" crow magic" can assist us in determining answers to our own hidden thoughts about areas in our lives we are unwilling to face.
Crow magic helps us see more clearly so we can be aware of the signs, symbols, and synchronicities that surround us daily. These are the gifts we have at our disposal in order to manifest our dreams, goals, reach health and wholeness.
As I read more about crows and ravens and pondered my time with them, I finally did figure out what the crow was trying to tell me. This encounter inspired some incredible aha moments and the courage to follow a dream. It was an amazing experience, one I will never forget.
