Letter from our Chamber Board President:
|
|
June 13, 2019
To: Ocean Reef Chamber Members
From: Margie Smith, President
Subject: 2019-2020 Season Renewal
As I conclude my first season as Chamber Board President, I'd like to thank you all for another fantastic year of growth, friendship, and new opportunities. Our membership continues its steady growth. OUR Chamber is unique in that we target a "sweet spot" for membership numbers, balancing our requirements to only include quality organizations with dollars required to thrive. This balance, focused on quality service, has enabled The Chamber to strengthen our relationships with both ORCA and Ocean Reef Club. In the time that I have been actively involved with this Chamber which is a little over eight years, we have had dramatic improvements in everything from our own governance to the partnerships in which we give back to the community while increasing exposure for our member organizations, to the way we all interact with registration and renewals.
The Chamber, ORCA, and Ocean Reef Club have increased the exposure of our members to our target customer base at its highest visibility yet. It continues to be the mission of the Ocean Reef Chamber of Commerce to build our brand strength. These efforts are all intended to get this community to Choose Chamber for every single service or product need.
This growth has been achieved by the participation of each of you and strong, expert support from our Executive Director Jill Alonge who makes it all run smoothly. We have had a focus this year on creating a more connected experience at our events and helping develop the talents and skills of you and your staff, even spearheaded by Jill Alonge starting a new Toastmasters chapter which is open to everyone working or living here at Ocean Reef Club. We have unusual demographics for a Keys Chamber in that our mix of members is roughly half based in the Keys and "on property" and half based to the north. Conscious of your limited time, we have ventured into new events this year from the Paws in the Park Welcome Back Pawty to the Chamboo Bash costume party, and plan to continue to host events that help you get your job done while fostering a sense of community and fun.
Below you will find two links. The first is an outline of each membership offered and the second your invoice for membership renewal. If you wish to make any changes to your membership, you may do so by logging into your account or contacting the Chamber office. Thank you again for all that you do for our Chamber. Have a wonderful summer and as we start what is a busy season for many of you in the trades and construction, we hope to see you at our September 4th luncheon!
