JULY 2019
Hello summer! A t PALS Animal Life Savers , we have lots going on this month—including our PetRock fundraiser , an update on Pride Day , two adorable available cats , and tips for keeping your cat safe in the summer heat .
Join us for Pet Rock , a musical benefit for PALS, on Saturday, August 3 from 7 p.m. until midnight, at The Stonewood Tavern, 139 Lynnfield Street, Peabody. We'll have great local bands—including detuned (music), Danielle Miraglia, and The Rolling Few—as well as raffles, vendors, and even a beer tasting!

And don't forget, we'll be at the Salem Farmers' Market with cat toys, pet blankets, and PALS merchandise on Thursday, July 11 from 3 – 7 p.m. at Derby Square on Front Street in Salem.

See you there! You can find all our latest events and updates on Facebook .

Thanks to everyone who came to see us at the North Shore Pride Festival on Salem Common! We had a great turnout, and we loved meeting you and hearing your kitty stories. And a huge thank you to those who donated and shared adoption stories for our 30/30 event in June. We greatly appreciate your support!

If you'd still like to donate, you can do so through through our  website, or at our Adoption Center during adoption hours.
At PALS, we pride ourselves on finding happy homes for our lovable rescues. We're thrilled about this month's Happy Endings Story, which belongs to Pete.

Pete came to PALS from an overcrowded home. He was nervous and anxious, and spent an extended period of time in our adoption center. Pete kept us entertained with his antics, but on adoption days, he would retreat to his bed and make himself invisible to potential adopters.

We finally received an online inquiry about Pete from Christy. She came in to meet him, gave him a chance, and the rest is history.

Today, Pete is a changed kitty. Christy says: Pete is currently curled up next to me on the couch after a long day. He is adorable, funny, and has plenty of personality! His favorite place to hang out is any window in the apartment. He likes to observe the street and the neighbors. I love him to pieces!

Thanks, Christy! Check out our Facebook page for additional stories, and email sandy@palscats.org with your Happy Endings story and pictures of your PALS cat.

Are you in the market for a new feline addition to your family? Then look no further than PALS Animal Life Savers for a loving companion who is sure to warm your heart.

Taylor and Tucker are identical 18-month-old brother and sister tabbies. This bonded pair are gentle and affectionate. They love people and lots of attention. They must be adopted together. (Yes, both of them are in this photo!)

For more information on how to adopt Cali, or to see our other available cats, please visit our website .
When an animal arrives at PALS who is not quite ready for adoption — or if we don't currently have space in our Adoption Center — we rely on the kindness of our foster care volunteers t o provide them with a safe place to stay. These volunteers open their homes to kittens needing time to grow, pregnant or nursing mothers, cats needing special attention, or those simply waiting until there is an open cage in the Adoption Center.

If you are interested in fostering a cat (or cats!) for PALS, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at   sandy@palscats.org .
The weather is continuing to warm up (we hope), so we thought we'd share some tips for keeping your cats safe, healthy, and happy in the heat.
