Then I had this dream about him. I had gone to visit him at his big mansion up on the hill. It was magnificent with three double car garages. I was so proud of him and what this property represented. When I knocked on the door, the servants came to the door. When I asked for Sam, they told me that he never came into the house. He always stays in the garage. Puzzled, I went out to one of the garages to find him. When I entered a garage, everything was neat and in its place like the house, but not used. Looking around for him, I noticed a small door in the floor and opened it. After calling down, Sam came up a ladder. "Sam, why don't you live in your house?" I asked. "Oh, Mom, I can't go in there." "Honey, that house belongs to you! Go in and enjoy it!" At the time, Sam only felt he deserved to live under the garage. The house, or his life, that God planned and provided for him was waiting! Because of shame, he didn't enter in. Because of guilt and shame, most of us do not enter the amazing blessings God has for our lives either!
Want to see how God feels about you? "Blessed and worthy of praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with EVERY spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ, just as [in His love] He chose us in Christ [actually selected us for Himself as His own] before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy [that is, consecrated, set apart for Him, purpose-driven] and blameless in His sight." (Ephesians 1:3-4 amp)
Did you read that? Every! Every means every! How do we get into the "Heavenly realms" in which this verse speaks? We get in Christ! We are loved! We are chosen! We are blessed! We are selected for Him! We are set apart! We have a purpose! And as we are in Christ, we are viewed as blameless which is free from guilt and shame! Wow!
I can back that up! Look at Philippians 4:19 "And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
The servants (or angels) knew it was Sam's house. I knew it was his house (life). God had it all for him! He just had to get into Christ and align with Him to get into the Heavenly realms! It's in God's glory that our needs are met! And after we turn our lives over to God, we must change our thinking, so we don't sabotage it! Our minds need to be renewed to think as He thinks, and we do that with Truth! Many widows I have met believe the lie that it's just a couple's world and they do not fit. They feel they have no purpose and live in guilt and shame coming from themselves or others. The fact is there are more singles in this world than married according to the census! God's Word tells us He's married to the widow and we have a purpose! Just like Sam, we need to cancel the lies with God's Word and renew our minds so we can enter the house (life) God has for us! Sam did and we need to also! Stop living under the garage and come up higher! Believe what God says about you and choose to surrender completely to Him for He has so much more in store we haven't experienced yet!
