Children participate in outdoor activities throughout the year but certainly more often as the weather improves.
Children's Center programs follow the recommendations for outside exposure as indicated on the child care weather watch chart as well as National Weather Service, DCFS and NAEYC standards to ensure child safety.
Please provide your child with appropriate outdoor gear at all times. We request that each child has appropriate sun-protective clothing or sunscreen during summer months.
If you bring in insect repellent for your child, application will only occur upon the recommendation of local health authorities once a day.

Event Updates
July 4th - Our center will be closed, but we invite you to come march with us at the Evanston 4th of July Parade. Please sign up using the sheet in your child's classroom or via the online form
here.
July 19- Jodi's Jiggle Jam music performance from 11am-12 in the Family Focus auditorium.

August 8th- Field trip to Skokie water playground. We welcome our families to join us as we bid the year farewell and soak up the sun!
Registration Updates
As we begin to plan for next year, if your child will be returning to our site for the 2019-2020 school year we ask that you stop by and see Ms.Deb for necessary paperwork to confirm registration.
She will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays in July from 8-9am or 3-6pm to help with any paperwork, registration requirements or questions you may have.

Welcome! Join us on August 7th from 4-6pm at the Children's Center to pick up your YMCA backpack tag. We will be here to answer any questions you have about the school's out program.

WELCOME TO THE 2019-20 SCHOOL YEAR!
Believe it or not, Fall will be here before you know it! We are excited to have many returning students, and many new friends as well this year. If you have not registered for our Full Day, Part Day, or School's Out Programs for the upcoming year, the time is NOW! Spots are nearly full! Please click on

FALL PAPERWORK CHECK-IN DATES in case you would like to ask questions, or if you are a returning family, and simply need to re-sign your child's existing file. Save these dates so your registration is completed in time for the new school year!

If you haven't already done so, follow these steps to set up your account online:
- Go to our Current Parents page on our website.
- Click on the orange button near the top of the page that says
- Click the SIGN IN button
- Log in on the right side of the page.
- Type your Last Name, First Name, email address and your password. Your password is automatically set to your initials+date of birth (mmddyy).
For example for John Doe born 02/01/1968: JD020168.

Walk with the McGaw YMCA!
Showcase your McGaw pride and march with us in this fun community event! We will gather at our meeting spot (TBD) at 1pm and will begin marching at 2pm. We will be accompanied by the YMCA vans for support, but please plan to walk the entire route.
