"Art Journal Challenge #7"

You ever have one of those days where you really want to create, but you can't make up your mind what to do or where to start? You are not alone! The purpose of these Art Journal Challenges is to give yourself a starting point and to just create! Along the process, we'll be using many different techniques and products! This will not be a class where I show you step-by-step how to create your page. I will however, show you how to do each of the techniques in this challenge - and then you can use those techniques while you create your page. I am definitely available for questions/guidance. It might sound intimidating, but it's really not! You will likely get hooked after the first class!
This class is perfect for ages 10 and up!

Cost is only $37/person, and includes art supplies (paint, stencils, mediums, stamps, aprons, brushes), technique demonstrations, and guidance!

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
1. The overall theme 'Tribute to Someone Special'! OH I LOVE THIS ONE! So many directions you can go with this! Start thinking about who your tribute will be about and jotting ideas down. How will you use a map? Maybe one that represents where they are from or where you met them or one of your favorite places (could be printed off computer). The fabric, lace or ribbon could be a piece from their clothes (be sure you have permission and it's not from their favorite outfit! haha!). A favorite quote that reminds you of them or song lyrics? Picture? Bring all of those with you to class.
2. Purchase an Art Journal. One of my favorites is the Canson Mixed Media, available at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Walmart, Spokane Art Supply, etc. Any size will work.
3. I have a variety of watercolor paints and washi tape, but if you have some you'd like to use, please bring those as well.
