ST. PHILIP PAGES AND BLOGS
Principal Notes

Dear Parents,

Today we welcomed our newest Falcons, 35 students, to Transitional Kindergarten.  Tomorrow will be their first full day. We are so excited about this new program.  The classrooms are beautiful and soon the playground will be finished. In the meantime, the TK students will be spending some time in Holy Angel Hall getting their physical activity time in.

Also today, our school families met for the first time this year.  We completed a "Choose Love" activity poster that you'll see displayed around the school. Don't forget that we will have a Choose Love speaker here on Wednesday, September 19 at 8 am in Holy Angel Hall.  We would love to have a packed house so that parents will be able to understand and support the Choose Love program.

Back to School Nights are next week.  Tuesday, September 11, is for TK through 3rd grade and Thursday, September 13, is for 4th through 8th grades.  We will start promptly at 7 pm in Holy Angel Hall. Our new pastor, Fr. Tony, will be speaking and you'll learn about some of the new programs that are happening this year.  Additionally, you will visit your child's classroom where the teachers will have their own presentations. The evening will end at 8:30. Please do not use this night for private conversations with the teachers.  This evening is for general presentations and questions. If you need to have a private conversation, you can make an appointment to meet with the teacher at a different time.

Thank you for all that you do to support the school. You are appreciated.

Sincerely,
Jennifer

Excused Tardy /Early Dismissal For Appointment

Medical and Dental appointments during school hours are acceptable only when it is impossible to schedule such appointments after school or during a vacation period. These appointments should not be scheduled in conflict with the dates of standardized testing - please help!
THESE APPOINTMENTS REQUIRE VERIFICATION NOTES FROM THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE IN ORDER TO BE CLASSIFIED AS AN "EXCUSED TARDY."
Excused absences and tardies are granted for verified medical and dental appointments only. Obtaining a note from a doctor when a child is at home ill does not constitute a medical excused absence.
