Parent Engagement in Region 20
P-20 NEWSLETTER
Dear Parents and Families,

It is "Back to School Time" in our community! Families are gathering school supplies and many wonderful organizations are hosting Back to School fairs. If you are able, pick up an extra school supply item and send it to your child's teacher so they may have it on hand when needed during the school year.

If you are looking for some extra math and reading enrichment for your child, read about the upcoming sessions at the UTSA Downtown campus. Learn more about upcoming academic activities for your child and education related topics impacting our community in this issue.

P.S. What topics do you want us to cover at the upcoming P-20 Summit on Parent Engagement on Saturday, March 2nd? Save the date and send in your suggestions for a chance to win a t-shirt.

The ratings will look different than they have in the past. Commissioner of Education Mike Morath told reporters Tuesday that this is the fairest accountability system Texas has ever used, aimed at getting all students to the same educational level, no matter the challenges they may face at home.
