Dear Members and Friends,
Summer is officially here! To kick off the start of summer, the OCHBA traveled to Costa Rica over Memorial Day weekend for our annual continuing education seminars. We
continued to bring together various generations of HBA members and supporters, from founding members to the newer bar admittees. We had a good mixture of affiliate bar members and leaders, Past OCHBA Presidents and Judicial Officers.
We spent an amazing 4 days in Costa Rica at the Los Suenos resort near Jaco. In addition to fishing, ziplining and ATV Adventures we managed to get a little work done. We had amazing presenters at all of our CLE events where we learned about topics such as Lawyer Civility from four HBA Past Presidents, Techniques to Help You Be An Academy Award Nominee for Best Trial Presentation from a Legend of the Law and additional speciality credits. The HBA Annual CLE trips are a great way to network and make new friends that will last a lifetime. Stay tuned for an announcement for our 2020 trip! Thank you Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law for providing the CLE accreditation.
This month the OCHBA also joined the OCBA for the annual Summer Diversity Mixer. Board Member Deborah M. Vasquez and our Secretary Karla Bustamante represented the OCHBA at the Diversity Mixer!
