War of the Worlds Screening - Register Today
November 11 | 5:30 – 9:00pm

Join us for a special showing of the original version of the “War of the Worlds” movie, with special guest star, Hollywood actress Ann Robinson, lead of the 1953 film. After the screening, enjoy a Q&A with Robinson and get your picture taken with her or her autograph for an additional price. Tickets include: Movie screening, one alcoholic beverage (for 21 and up; cash bar available), popcorn, candy, non-alcoholic beverages and access to all Institute of Science exhibitions between 5:30 – 7:00pm.

Vote For Science
November 5 | 11am – 2pm
 
Go to the polls and then head to the Institute’s Vote for Science event! Which is more fun to play with, Ozobots or Hexbugs? Which cockroach is cooler, hissing or Cave? Investigate the data, test your senses, and question the evidence to help decide how you’ll vote for science. Join us on Election Day (11/5) and get one free child general museum admission per one paying adult.
 
The Acheson Planetarium will be open with program times at 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30pm, and exploreLAB will be open at 12:30 and 1:30 for an additional price. Tickets can be purchased at the museum’s main entrance.

Robot Odyssey Event
November 27, 29, 30 | 11:00am – 3:00pm

Make this Thanksgiving Break one to remember by filling it with robots. Learn about incredible robot space explorers and famous movie-bots by getting face-to-face with specimens from outer space and taking a tour of celebrity robots from your favorite movies and TV shows. There will be engaging demos and activities for all ages, too! Activities are FREE with general museum admission.

Our upcoming exhibit, Robot Revolution, presented by PNC Bank with contributing support from DENSO, will be an interactive experience for all ages. Science Corner
We’re saying goodbye to our T. rex bones on display in exploreLAB , and hello to hadrosaur limb bones from Edmontosaurus. We’re excited to show them off to you along with a complete hadrosaur skull. exploreLAB will also be displaying a giant T. rex track that’s nearly a meter long, so don’t miss it!
