Hey, Grace’rs,

At the end of our Town Hall Meeting I said that when we signed up to follow Jesus we gave up our rights…taking up the new right to love our neighbors.

I’ve published this previously but thought it would be worth putting it out again in our 4 Minutes of Grace. In these days the call to serve our neighbors is more important than ever!

The Christian’s Bill of Rights
1) Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. (Philippians 2:3)

2)  Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. (Philippians 2:4)

3)  Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. (Philippians 2:5-7)

4)  In everything, do to others as you would have them do to you. (Matthew 7:12)

5)  Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind. And love your neighbor as you love yourself. (Luke 10:27)

6)  As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against  another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. (Colossians 3:12-13)

7)  Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you… (Matthew 5:44)

8)  Whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be the servant of all. (Mark 10:43-44)

9)  Do not seek your own advantage, but that of the other. (1 Corinthians 10:24)

10) Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for
you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
