92nd Annual Meeting Program
Creating a Sustainable Operator Workforce
Marriott Marquis, New York City
Join us for NY State's largest water quality technical conference and exhibition! Professional development is the purpose of the annual meeting, through the presentation of high quality, scientifically-based technical papers in
30 sessions over three days. The conference provides learning, discussion and interaction with other water quality professionals from across the state and the nation. Continuing education credits for professional engineers and operators are offered.
Introducing Donna Bee, NYWEA's 2020 Vice President-Elect. On November 13, 2019, the Board of Directors unanimously approved Donna to become the organization's 2020 Vice President-Elect.
Donna is the Senior Operator for the Village of Northport, NY, and has been an active and engaged leader for NYWEA since becoming a member in 2010. Her interest in promoting increased exposure to and appreciation of operations personnel across the state is evidenced by her initiation of the Regional Operations Challenge and the creation of the Lucy Grassano Scholarships that afford operators who have never attended NYWEA's Annual Meeting the opportunity to do so. Donna was a spokes- person on a NYWEA video promoting operator careers for women, and she spoke on the Opening Session panel in 2016 "The Year of the Operator". Congratulations, Donna!
