FREE Youth Yoga for Kids
Oct 22, Nov 26, & Dec 17
Ages 7 - 16
Youth Yoga: Intro to Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic style of yoga where students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one posture to the next. Students will practice breathing techniques, postures, meditation, gaining strength, flexibility, and focus. Youth Yoga is geared toward youths ages 7 - 18 years old and meets from 6:00 - 7:00PM in the LP Wilson Ballet room on October 22nd, November 26th, and December 17th. Classes are designed to expose the student to the world of Vinyasa Yoga. Please bring a mat, or towel and a water bottle. Some yoga mats will be provided.  Please click below for more information.
Boys to Men

Grades 6th - 8th
Boys to Men  is being held at 330 Windsor Ave Community Center from 6-7:30 pm. Boys to Men challenges myths about how to be a "real boy" or "real man." It engages boys in activities, dialogue, and self-expression to question stereotypical concepts and to increase boys emotional, social, and cultural literacy. Boys to Men runs every Wednesday night starting October 23 and ending December 18 for boys in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Space is limited to 12 boys. Dinner will be provided at each session. Free Outdoor Movie:
"Its The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"
10/29 - All Ages
Grab a blanket and take the whole family to LP Wilson on October 29th to enjoy a great outdoor movie experience on our 22-foot portable inflatable screen! We will be showing "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged. Donuts and apple cider will be available. (860) 285-1990.
Youth Fencing Classes
Begins 10/30 - Ages 9 +
Give your child the chance to challenge a friend to a duel and learn the fundamentals in this 8-week beginner course of the intense, fun, and intricate art of fencing . Fencing meets in the LP Wilson gymnasium every Wednesday from 6:15PM - 7:30PM. The course will be taught by National and International Gold Medalist, Mal-sun Marletto, who has over 25 years of personal competitive fencing experience and over 20 years of coaching and teaching experience, establishing her own fencing club.
Adult Yoga Classes
Begins 11/7 - Ages 13+
All skill levels and abilities are welcome! Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic style of yoga where students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one posture to the next. Yoga classes meet every Thursday from November 7th to December 19th in the LP Wilson Ballet Room from 6:30PM - 7:30PM. Students will practice breathing techniques, postures, and meditation, gaining strength, flexibility and focus. Classes are appropriate to all levels, beginner to advanced. NWP Owl Prowl
11/09 - Ages 8+
Join Northwest Park staff for an exciting  Owl Prowl  on Saturday, November 9 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Give a hoot about these magnificent birds with an informative session on the lives of Connecticut’s native owls. This program includes a 30 minute owl walk with an owl calling session and concludes with a live owl presentation. Recommended for ages 8 and above. Please click below for more information.
Dog Training Class
Begins 11/10 - Ages 16+
Well known dog trainer, Laurie Fass, can help you bring out the very best in your family pet with  Dog Training Level 1 & Level 2. 

Level 1 classes are from 9:30-10:30 am every Saturday at the LP Wilson Community Center. Activities include leash manners, sit, stay, heel, come, drop it, and more. Learn how to communicate in ways that make sense to your dog. 

Level 2 classes are from 10:35-11:35 am every Saturday at the LP Wilson Community Center. Any dog that completed a beginner class or has had basic training may sign up for Level 2 to learn skills such as getting off-leash reliability, advancing basic commands (sit or down from a distance), coming to heel position while moving, and more. This course will increase your understanding and communication skills with your dog while keeping your dog mentally active and challenged.
NWP Full Moon Hike
11/12 - Ages 14+
Come to Northwest Park on Tuesday, November 12 for a Full Moon Hike from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM to enjoy the beautiful trails and the full Beaver moon of November. Please click below for more information.
Christmas Cards
for Troops
11/12 - All Ages
Join Windsor Youth Services Bureau on Tuesday, November 12 from 6-7:30 pm at 330 Windsor Ave Community Center for our Third Annual Christmas Cards for Troops! We will provide everything you need to make a special Christmas card. It takes several weeks for the cards to be delivered overseas which is why this activity is in November. This event is free for all ages! Registration is not required. Please click below for more information.
Family Bingo Night
11/14 - All Ages
Are you and your family missing the summer fun? Embrace the fall, grab the gang, and come to  Family Bingo Night  at the LP Wilson Community Center from 6:00-7:30 pm for an evening of family fun. Bring a nonperishable food item for the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank to receive an extra raffle ticket. Pizza, chips and refreshments will be available for purchase. Family Paint Night
11/15 - Grades 3-8
Family Paint Night.  Youth in grades 3-8 and their parents/guardians are invited to enjoy a relaxing and fun night of painting at LP Wilson Community Center, 599 Matianuck Ave, on Friday, November 15 from 6:00-8:30 pm. This workshop can help youth and families soothe school and home stressors. Instruction, canvas, paint supplies, and dinner will be provided. $10.00 per person.
Start Smart Soccer & Basketball
Begins 11/16 - Ages 3-6
Start Smart Soccer & Basketball  is a developmentally appropriate introductory basketball program where parents work with their children in a supportive environment to create a fun and positive experience while learning the basics of the sport. Start Smart builds confidence in children and helps prepare them for future sport participation. Start Smart Soccer meets every Saturday morning from 9AM - 10AM, and basketball meets every Saturday from 10:15AM - 11:15AM. Session runs November 16th - December 28th. Windsor Instructional Basketball League
Begins 01/02 - 2nd - 12th Grade
The Windsor Recreation and Leisure Services Youth Basketball League is an instructional/recreational league open to all Windsor boys and girls grades 2nd thru 12th who reside in Windsor. Basic fundamentals and sportsmanship are stressed. Teams will practice once a week and play games on the weekends. Click below for more information.
