The MAB Political Action Committee (PAC) invites you to experience Founders Brewery in Grand Rapids from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on August 5. This special fundraising event will feature a private tour of the brewery, dinner and, of course, brews direct from Founders taps! All proceeds benefit the MABPAC. Admission is $200 per person or $350 per couple. According to Michigan Campaign Finance Act no corporate donations are allowed under the law. Only personal payment is accepted.

DOJ Starts Review of BMI and ASCAP Consent Decrees - Exploring the Background of the Issues

Plan to Swap Sales Tax for Fuel Tax Headed to House Floor
MLive reports that House Republicans continue to push a budget plan that would replace the state's 6-percent sales tax on gasoline with a fuel tax to be allocated to infrastructure. The House plan calls for all the funds currently collected as sales tax to be shifted to roads, generating an estimated $830 million. Read More

The AP reported on Wednesday that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has signed an executive order creating a committee aimed at encouraging an accurate federal census in the state next year. Read More
