Recent Smilezone Transformations
Rachel's Kids - Cornwall, ON
Kicking off 2017 with a bang, the Smilezone team transformed TWO ZONES at Rachel's Kids House of Hope in Cornwall, ON this past January. The two new Zones are featured in the main Community Room and the Arts Room at this brand new facility. This installation involved many wonderful features, including: fresh paint and outdoorsy murals throughout, a custom fish tank, engaging technology such as iPads and a GestureTek System, custom cabinetry and storage, stimulating sensory items, and a reading nook complete with brightly coloured beanbag chairs and bookcase!
Rachel's Kids House of Hope is a non-profit charitable organization in Cornwall, ON that offers children with autism and other learning disabilities the opportunity to discover, to imagine, to play, and to integrate in a welcoming community setting.
Scarborough and Rouge Hospital - Toronto, ON
Over the weekend of January 13-15th, the Smilezone team transformed
SEVEN SMILEZONES
at The Scarborough and Rouge Hospital in Toronto, ON, in both their General and Birchmount campuses. The seven new Zones brighten up multiple waiting areas, a playroom, and an assessment room at SRH. This installation features beautifully transformed spaces for kids, including: fresh paint and bright murals, custom cabinetry and banquette seating, a variety of tactile panels and sensory tables, and engaging technology such as iPads, televisions, and a GestureTek system!

As Smilezone Foundation's premier corporate donor, the BMO logo is proudly displayed throughout the Zones at Scarborough and Rouge Hospital to recognize their outstanding contribution to the Foundation.
Safehaven Project for Community Living - Toronto, ON
The Smilezone team was hard at work transforming
FOUR SMILEZONES at the
Safehaven Project for Community Living in Toronto, ON over the week of February 27-March 1, 2017. These new Zones are located throughout the residence, including the living area, waiting area, hallway, and teen lounge. Notable features in these special Zones include: fresh paint and kid-friendly murals, a custom fully accessible dining table, Toronto Rock jersey boxes, iPads, and sensory corner for kids and youth of all abilities.
These incredible Zones were brought to life thanks to the generous support of the Toronto Rock. In 2017, the Toronto Rock have continued their strong support of Smilezone Foundation, running the 50/50 fundraising program and hosting their Charity Game Night in support of Smilezone Foundation on March 3rd at the ACC. Thank you to the Toronto Rock team, coaches, staff, and fans for supporting the Smilezone mission and belief that every child deserves to SMILE!
