Change to Fulton County Schools Calendar
November 6 and March 8
During the August 16 Board meeting, a revision to this year's Fulton County school calendar was made. Here is a link to the Board item. 
  • Change Tuesday, November 6, 2018, to a Teacher Work Day. This is currently a regular school day.
     
  • Change Friday, March 8, 2019, to a regular school day. This is currently a Teacher Work Day. 
This revision will not change the total number of instruction days for students. Please find the revised Fulton County Calendar here .

Please note that Cambridge High School has additional Professional Learning days, granted by the School Governance Council. There is no school on these days. These dates are:
  • Thursday, October 4, 2018 - Cambridge Professional Learning Day
  • Wednesday, October 10, 2018 - 1/2 Day (afternoon), Cambridge Professional Learning Day
  • Tuesday, March 12, 2019 - Cambridge Professional Learning Day

SkillsUSA Selected as a Model of Excellence
Congratulations to Cambridge SkillsUSA as they were selected as a Model of Excellence by SkillsUSA Nationals and Lowes. The chapter was in the top eight out of 17,000 classrooms nationwide. Morgan Perkins (pictured), SkillsUSA President, and Ayush Kumar represented Cambridge at the National conference over the summer.

SAT School Day
Deadline Extended to September 5
To ensure every Senior student at Cambridge has the opportunity to participate in SAT School Day, the registration deadline has been extended to Wednesday, September 5 at 4:00 pm. 

Cambridge High School 12th grade students who wish to participate in SAT School Day will need to complete the following registration form: CHS 18-19 SAT Day Registration Form

If you are having issues with the online registration, please email the student's name and school identification number to [email protected] .

Certificate of Enrollment and ADAP Replacement
Certificate of Enrollment
Certificate of Enrollment forms for either a Learner's Permit or License can be requested through the Front Office. There is a fee of $1.00 to process and notarize the certificate.

Please allow 24 hours for the certificate to be certified and notarized. 
Please be aware that Certificates of Enrollment are only valid for 30 days once they have been certified and notarized.

ADAP Replacement
An ADAP certificate is required to obtain a student's drivers license. ADAP certificates are issued as part of a student's Health class. ADAP replacement certificates (if Health was taken on campus at Cambridge High School) can be obtained through the Front Office.

Please allow 24 hours for the certificate to be generated.

An Evening with UGA
Tuesday, September 25
On Tuesday, September 25, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Cambridge will host "An Evening with UGA" and invite the University of Georgia's Admissions staff to speak about their admissions process. This event is open to families of all grade levels and members of the community and will be held in the Cambridge Theater.  Pre-registration is required for the event and will close once at capacity.  Please register now at:

 
New Student Breakfast
Thursday, September 6
On Thursday, September 6 at 9:00 am, there will be a new student breakfast for students new to Cambridge High School for the 2018-2019 school year. Students will receive an invitation and a pass for the morning of the breakfast. If your new student to the Cambridge district did not receive an invitation, please contact Ms. Theriault in the Counseling Office at [email protected]

 
Looking for a Volunteer Opportunity?
Saturday, September 8
Youth United invites any and all teens to join us for a morning of impact at our annual Kickoff! We will be packing meals for children in need; and doing a discussion based "Civic Breakfast". United Way provides light bites for breakfast , pizza for lunch, snacks, a DJ, and prizes (to make volunteering FUN!).

Location: Thomasville Heights Boys and Girls Club, 1835 Henry Thomas Drive SE, Atlanta, GA, 30315

This free event has capacity for hundreds of students from all different schools in ATL to participate. It's an easy way to get service hours , while connecting to a student-led program that gives back to it's community. Youth United will have service projects throughout the year; this is only the KICKOFF!

The kick off for the 50th Annual National PTA Reflections Art Competition is here! You may enter in any or all of these categories:

Visual Art, Photography, Literature, Film Production, Musical Composition, or Dance Choreography.

Multiple entries are welcome! Just complete a separate form for each entry. This year's th eme is " Heroes Around Me."   Entry forms are available in the Media Center. Winners at Cambridge will advance to the Council for judging and could end up in the finals at National PTA. So get your art on and have fun!

Code of Conduct

This year we will continue to utilize the electronic delivery of our 2018-2019 Student Code of Conduct & Discipline Handbook to families who have an email address on file with their school.  This electronic delivery process involves you completing two simple steps 1) Reviewing the Student Code of Conduct and 2) Completing and submitting the Acknowledgement of Electronic Receipt.  Here is how you complete these two steps:

  1. Please review and save the updated 2018-2019 Student Code of Conduct & Discipline Handbook at http://www.fultonschools.org/en/divisions/acd/supportserv/Pages/StudentDiscipline.aspx
  2. Please click the link below to review and submit the required Acknowledgement of Electronic Receipt Form.  After review of the Acknowledgement of Electronic Receipt, please complete the electronic form and submit it.

It is important that you review and discuss the content of the Code of Conduct with your child(ren).  Teachers will also review the Code of Conduct with students at the beginning of the school year. 

 

Personal Fitness Exemptions
New Form
Please know that an updated Personal Fitness Exemption form is now available and can be found below and in the Counseling Office. The old form will no longer be accepted. Personal Fitness Exemption forms can only be accepted during the last seven days of each semester, and you must complete an exemption form by the last day of your junior year to be eligible for the exemption as a senior.
