Dear Friends,

As Bridge of Life's Program Director and with my background in international work, I've traveled to many different locations and countries across the globe. However, when I arrived in Jordan with our volunteer team in April, it was the first time I had ever been to this region. And I wasn't sure what to expect when we screened over 1,000 displaced Syrian refugees for chronic diseases.

What I discovered was a people who greeted us with warmth, gratitude and open arms, despite all the conflict and hardships they had been through. Getting the opportunity to screen refugees who no longer have access to basic healthcare services was incredibly rewarding.

Please take a moment to read more about my direct experiences with the refugees in my blog story and why your continued support is so important to the men, women and children we serve.

Thank you for helping us strengthen healthcare around the world,

Katie Chandler
