VIRTUAL SENIORS CENTRE PROJECT COORDINATOR
Sage Seniors Association

Sage Seniors Association is seeking a Virtual Seniors Centre Project Coordinator to oversee the planning, execution, and implementation of their Virtual Seniors Centre Project. This position will work closely with the Director of Research and Community Engagement to stay on target and engage seniors, partners, and other stakeholders throughout the project.

The successful candidate will have a diploma or degree in Marketing/Communications, Human Ecology, Gerontology or other relevant education. Experience working or volunteering with seniors and content development experience are preferred. A Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector is required for this role.

This is a temporary position ending December 31, 2020. Hours of work will range from 15-30 hours a week depending on the needs of the project. Review the posting for a full job description and details regarding application instructions. The application deadline for this position is July 5, 2019.

Volunteer and Work Opportunities for Seniors
LAY LEADERS 
Alberta Health Services "Better Health, Better Choices" Workshops

Alberta Health Services is seeking friendly volunteer Lay Leaders to help run their Better Choices, Better Health Chronic Disease Self-Management Program. The program is a 6-week workshop for people living with chronic health conditions and their caregivers. Workshops are held for 2.5 hours per week for 6 weeks.

Alberta Health Services is looking for empathetic, non-judgemental and dependable Lay Leaders who have experience either living with a chronic health condition or living close to someone with a chronic health condition. Applicants should have access to consistent transportation and be able to commit to facilitating a 6-week workshop with a co-facilitator. Applicants should have good public speaking skills and be comfortable speaking to groups of 10-15 participants.
