Fourth of July Parade, Nights in the Heights and Fireworks
Join the Windsor Heights Chamber of Commerce for the 4th of July Parade on Thursday, July 4th at 4 p.m.! The parade starts at Sherwood Forest and ends at Colby Park. After the parade, head to Colby Park for Nights in the Heights celebration with live music and food trucks. Music starts at 6:30 p.m.! Fireworks will be at 9:30 p.m.!
Speed limit on University Avenue increased 30 m.p.h
As of 12:00 p.m. today, the speed limit on University Avenue, within the City Limits of Windsor Heights, has officially changed. The new speed limit is 30-mph following City Council approval of the change at the June 17, 2019 Council Meeting. The amazing Windsor Heights Public Works team changed the signs out this morning. Please remember there is a lot of traffic, both vehicle and pedestrian, along the University Avenue corridor, so please continue to drive safely through Windsor Heights.

City Offices- Summer Hours 
From May 31- August 30th, City offices will be operating on summer hours and will close at 3:00 p.m. every Friday.
Harmony Park Dedication
The Windsor Heights Foundation is excited to announce the upcoming installation of a special interactive musical sculptural feature at Colby Park. The Flo and Al Hunter Harmony Park will feature an amazing collection of interactive musical instruments perfect for all ages and abilities!  A dedication of the Flo and Al Hunter Harmony Park, will take place June 25 th at 6 p.m. at Colby Park. The instruments require no skill to play, but are fun for all ages, and are sure to bring a smile to the faces of all!
Nights in the Heights starts Tuesday June 25th
The Windsor Heights Foundation will be kicking off Nights in the Heights on June 25th with ElegantGypsy Bring your lawn chairs. Food trucks will be there at 6:00 p.m.! The food trucks for June 25th are:  Up In Smoke BBQ LLC The Outside Scoop , and The Wine Wagen Yoga begins at 6:00 p.m., then the music starts at 7 p.m. and goes until 8:30 p.m.!
Story Time Starting this Summer at Colby Park
The City of Windsor Heights is excited to introduce a new and fun opportunity for you and your child. Join your children, as interactive books are read aloud in Colby Park. We will be celebrating individual creativity and personal expression, through craft projects, fun movement, joyful rhythm and the exploration of new friendships. While the books will be geared to the 3-6 year old age group,   ALL age groups are welcome. Our goal is to create a warm and friendly atmosphere, where kids can be kids and you can enjoy quality time with your children, as they explore new experiences.
Where:  Colby Park - Meet near the picnic benches
When: Tuesday mornings: June and July
Time:    10:00 a.m.
What to bring: Blanket or towel to sit on / a drink if it is hot. A book will be read and then we will create a fun craft or play a game, complementing the theme of the story.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
