Challenge Success Student Council
MissionChallenge Success is an organization with a mission of making sure all kids are healthy while engaged in learning at school. As a club at San Ramon Valley High School our biggest priority and concern is to reduce student stress as much as possible on campus.

HistoryIn our past we have worked on creating new daily schedules such as implementing a block system/access periods, creating a new bell schedule with later starts so kids can sleep more, and a "Day in the Life" project for teachers to understand a students day.

Present Our club's first meeting was on Thursday and during that meeting was the introduction of our newest projects aimed to reduce stress:
"What I Wish my Teacher/Students Knew" and "S.P.A.C.E":
  • Student schedule/use of time
  • Project and Project Based Learning
  • Alternative and authentic assessment
  • Climate of care
  • Education for the whole community
Future -  Throughout the year we intend on allowing our club members to branch out on projects of their own to help reduce as much stress on SRV's campus. Get your student involved in Challenge Success by emailing challengesuccesssrvhs@gmail.com . You can read more about Challenge Success on http://www.challengesuccess.org .

Make-A-Wish
This year, the students of San Ramon Valley High School came together with the goal of raising money to support Make-A-Wish Bay Area, in order to put on a 'Wish Week' at SRV and sponsor a wish. Wish Week is a one-week-long event where we partner with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to sponsor a child with a life-threatening medical condition. As a school, we will hold several events throughout the week in order to raise money to grant wishes.
This year, we aim to hold Wish Week February 5-9, 2019, wrapping up the week with a rally. In order to sponsor a wish we must raise $10,000 by December of 2018. If we reach our goal to sponsor our wish kid, we'll host the reveal of their wish, and show them what SRV spirit looks like at the rally.
Regarding the $10,000 needed by December, there's a link below where you can donate directly. We'll also have some events and fundraisers in early 2019 during which we will be pairing with local businesses. Any and all donations are highly appreciated, and we cannot wait for the word to spread throughout the community about this life-changing event. Be sure to check out SRV Media, who is helping grant a wish. Be sure to stay tuned via Instagram ( @srvhswolfpack) and Twitter ( @WERSR). Donate here:

SRV Spirit Wear Pop Up Shop
SRV Spirit Wear contributes 20% of all sales back to the Athletic Booster club and Leadership. We sell the clothes on line but three times a year, we have the opportunity to sell directly to families and students at football games. We also need a few volunteers during the two Wolf Pack days. We appreciate any volunteer  help for an hour or two. A fun way to help the SRV Sport and Leadership community without a big time commitment. If you also want to get more involved with the spirit wear and help select clothes items, please let me know as we are looking for new parents to help out.  Go Wolves!

PTSA Legislative Advocacy
Nassar Mirzai

Assembly Bill 2878, sponsored by California State PTA and co-authored by Assemblymember Rocky Chavez and Assemblymember Kevin McCarty, has been signed into law by Governor Brown. Signed September 28, 2018, this legislation will add research-based family engagement guidance and practice into the California Education Code. It will provide schools, districts and parents access to research-based best practices for family engagement and involvement. Research demonstrates that when schools practice authentic family engagement, absenteeism is reduced, dropout rates decrease and student achievement and graduation rates go up.

PTSA 2019 Grad Night - May 31, 2019
Committee Chairs:
Laura Morrison, Deborah Rockey, Charlyene Swierstra

Support the time honored tradition of Grad Night at SRVHS! Grad Night is a senior class all-night, "safe and sober" graduation party that follows the graduation ceremony. The special event is complete with games, music, dancing, crafts, food, prizes and lots of fun. The theme changes every year so Grad Night is unique for each graduating class. Organized by the senior class parents, areas of the school campus are literally transformed to suit the theme of the night. Volunteer parents work hard to make this evening spectacular and it's only made possible because of all the people who donate their time. We need all the help we can get. Planning begins a year in advance and work continues right up until Grad Night...culminating into a positive send off for our SRV Seniors!

Class of 2021 News
Class Parent Reps

Welcome to SRV homecoming season! This is a great time for the sophomore class to come together, meet friends and bond while building an incredible homecoming float for the annual parade on October 12th. This year's homecoming theme is "Home of the Champions".  The sophomore theme is "Home Depot", with a "building our future" angle.  The kids are eager to bring their theme to reality, but they need lots of help and manpower!

Most urgently, we need 1-2 adults to be our lead float organizer!  There is a team of people willing to help, but without a lead - having a Class of 2021 float is in jeopardy. No previous experience needed, just the desire to have some fun!  PLEASE email algo28@outlook.com asap if you can be one of the Leads (or come to the Kick Off Meeting to check it out)!!  These Lead Parents will help the leadership students take their float visions on to become a reality and oversee the build of the float by the kids. Creative people wanted!  Handy people wanted!  It's a rewarding experience and our kids need parents on board to make the annual parade day happen.

Flatbed Truck - Need a Flatbed Truck approximately 20-25 feet in length for the float.
