THE MCPK INSIDER
TO OUR TEACHERS....
What can we say! Mission accomplished. Congratulations to our EXCEPTIONAL teaching teams for working so hard to give the children of the MCPK thirteen weeks of Zoom meetings, live Facebook posts, YouTube stories and videos, and so much more! We are so proud that you were a part of accomplishing something that has never happened before in the history of Early Childhood Education. One small step for teachers......one giant leap for education!

AND TO OUR PARENTS....
You did it! You supported your children through thirteen incredibly long weeks of learning at home on top of everything else you had to do for your families and your "day" jobs. We thank you for your patience and your trust in us while we figured things out day by day. We are grateful for your generosity and all the positive thoughts and encouragement you sent our way.

If this experience has taught us anything, it is that MCPK is truly a community. Together, we can do anything--no matter how impossible it might seem!

Our sincerest thanks and congratulations to you all,

The MCPK Admin Team

FAMILY INSTRUCTIONS
FOR THE MCPK MOVING UP PARADE
Please read the following instructions carefully, so that our parades go as smoothly as possible. If you have any questions or suggestions in the next week prior to the parades, please email us. As always at MCPK, this will be a team effort!

*Parades will start at 10:00 for location 1 classes and continue until all cars have been through the route one time (11:15ish). Please make sure to exit the parade route after one round, so that everyone has a chance to participate.

*Arrival to the “staging area” on St. Luke’s Place is staggered by 10 minute intervals—please try to arrive close to assigned times (not earlier!) to make sure there is room for all cars on St. Luke’s and to aid the flow of the parade.

*Staff members will be positioned all along parade route to direct traffic. Please pay attention to signs and frantic hand signals!

*Teaching Teams will be positioned in different locations around the perimeter of the school/playground.

*Each class has an assigned color to help identify teachers and students—teaching teams will reach out to you with further details. Feel free to decorate your cars and kids!

*Please wait until after the parade is finished if you would like to park and take photos. There will be several locations around the school for great photo ops, but we ask that all families observe social distancing rules. Please remember that the building and the playground are still closed.

*If you are not currently enrolled in our Remote Learning Program, but you would still like to participate in the parade, please send your teaching team an email at their @montclairprek.org address in order to receive specific classroom details.
THANK YOU
Dear MCPK Community,
We have had the honor of being part of MCPK’s Parent Association for many years. It has been our privilege to serve as Co-Presidents for the past two years. We want to extend a sincere thank you to all the parents that have volunteered. We could not have had so many successful events without all of your efforts and contributions. As the saying goes, “Many hands make light work.”

We have met so many wonderful and inspiring people during our time here and know we have created friendships that will last a lifetime. We encourage you to try to get involved with the MCPK Parents Association. During this challenging time, it is even more important than ever to make connections in our school community by being involved.

We cannot say goodbye without taking a moment to thank the amazing teachers and staff at MCPK. Their endless dedication, creativity and love, help to inspire our children’s curiosity for learning. Their expertise and passion for teaching make our school a truly special and magical place.

As our youngest kids, Emily and Jad, leave MCPK, we hope they carry and share the core MCPK principles of kindness, inclusivity and curiosity about the world around them. We don’t know what their futures hold, but know the lessons learned at MCPK will forever be in their hearts.
Wishing you the best for years to come.

Sincerely,
Nicole and Maxie
2019-2020 has been a crazy year for sure, but we at MCPK are so grateful for our amazing Parents Association who helped build and nurture the amazing community that has helped so many get through these tough times. From community events that brought us together, to events raising money for the school and helping us to celebrate our teachers, the MCPK staff is so grateful to all of you that gave your time and energy to make this a great year.

An extra special shout out goes to Nicole Chalfoun and Maxie Kroen for effortlessly leading this PA for YEARS! These ladies have been my right hand crew for the last 6 years and I am so honored to have worked with them and to call them friends. I cannot believe that they are sending their last babies off to Kindergarten and we will not see their faces everyday. Thank you for ALL you ladies have done throughout the years, you will always be a part of the MCPK family.

With love and admiration,
Molly
