It’s hard to believe that the holidays have come and gone and not only a fresh new year, but a fresh new DECADE is upon us! As I begin my term as WTS Greater Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter President, I’d be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the phenomenal job by our Immediate Past President, Adrienne Williams, and previous WTS Board Members. Moving into the next two years, I aim to build upon your hard work and dedication in continuing our chapter’s legacy of excellence. We accomplished so much in 2019, but there is still more work to be done.

As our region continues to experience exponential growth, it is imperative that we continue to promote, foster and advance women in all aspects of transportation. That’s where you come in. We have an amazing team of incoming board members, but we can’t do it alone. We need the support of the talented and hardworking WTS Members to continue to grow and ensure our chapter’s success. If you haven’t signed up for a committee, I encourage you to do so. Opportunities abound in our organization! The Annual Awards Banquet will be here before you know it, and we need your help to put on another successful event. It’s also a great opportunity to get involved and get to know your fellow WTS Members. In addition, as we ignite the next generation of female transportation leaders, consider becoming involved with a student chapter, the scholarship committee or as a mentor. Each and every one of you play a vital role in, not only how this chapter is shaped, but also the region.

I am honored to serve as your President am eager to see the great things we accomplish together. I look forward to working with all of you. Welcome to the Roaring 20s!
