Disaster Relief Special Offering
On Sunday, September 30, we will be collecting a special offering today to assist those who were affected by Hurricane Florence in the Carolinas. Please make your check payable to Christ Covenant Church; memo: "MNA Disaster Relief" or give online at pcamna.org/disaster-response. We will be sending the donations to MNA Disaster Response Carolinas.  MNA has set up a designated fund to help those affected by Hurricane Florence. 100% of all donated funds to this event goes to help those affected by the storm as MNA does not charge any fees for services.
 
Christ Covenant Church is also starting to form disaster response teams. Contact Mike Miller or the O&M Dept if you are interested.
Senior High Fun Night
Wednesday, October 3| 7-9:15PM
High school students! Join us next Wednesday for our RESCHEDULED Fun Night during our regular Link time. We'll meet at the CLC Youth Center to leave PROMPTLY at 7 PM (which means you need to be there BEFORE 7 PM!). We'll head out to the Halls' family farm for a corn maze contest. We'll return to the CLC Youth Center at 9:15 PM. The cost is $10. Hope you'll join us! This is open to all senior high students, so bring a friend!

Women's D.I.Y. Day Registration
Deadline to register is Monday, September 24
Register by Monday for the women's D.I.Y. Day, which will be held on Saturday, October 13, from 8:30 AM-3:15 PM. There will also be vendors of beautiful hand-crafted artwork and goods onsite. The cost is $35 and includes the workshops, lunch, and speaker. See christcovenant.org/diy2018 for details, including information about all of the workshops, and to register. Register soon so you don't miss out on the workshop you want!!
Communicants Class
Beginning this October, our Communicants Class will be taking on a different format. If you have a son/daughter in the 5th-8th grade who desires to become a communing member of the church in this year's class, please contact Amy Wallace at  [email protected] for more information and an application as soon as possible. We look forward to having your student join us!
Men's Intensive Discipleship Program (MIDP)
Thursdays, October 18 - November 8 | 7 PM
This quarter, Brian Peterson will be leading the Men's Intensive Discipleship group in a study of Presbyterianism, focusing on the practice of our Presbyterian identity. Classes will be in the Community Life Center chapel, and we will follow the lecture with fellowship at local eatery. See the Men's Ministry page for more information.

Children's Choirs
Children's choirs rehearse on Sunday evenings during the worship service and are for grades K-2 and 3-5. No audition required.
Invitation to Musicians
You are invited to join our orchestra and worship team. All vocalists and instrumentalists are welcome to contact Liz McNulty to arrange a brief audition with Pastor of Worship Nathan George. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays at 6 PM.
Adult Choir
Adult choir is now meeting! Please contact Liz McNulty to arrange a very simple vocal check with our Pastor of Worship Nathan George. This choir is open to 6th graders and older. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays from 7-8:30 PM.

Covenant Day Admissions Open House
Friday, November 2 | 9:30-11:30 AM
Covenant Day School, a ministry of Christ Covenant Church, exists to partner with Christian families to equip their sons and daughters to be salt and light for God's Glory, while providing a comprehensive, college preparatory education. If you have not had the opportunity to explore Covenant Day, we would love for you to come and see what makes us so unique! We are having a TK-12 Admissions Open House and Information Fair on Friday, November 2, at 9:30-11:30 AM in the CLC. We look forward to meeting you and helping you determine if Covenant Day might be a good fit for your family. Please register at covenantday.org/openhouse to reserve your spot! Your children are welcome to attend as well.

Seasonal Jobs with Operation Christmas Child
Samaritan's Purse - Operation Christmas Child has seasonal, paid employment opportunities available and they would like to find people who might be called to work with them this season. They need over 700 people to be warehouse workers, certified forklift operators, Class A drivers, team coaches, data entry keyers and mail processing staff. Please see our Employment webpage for more details.
ProjectSHARE October/November Collection:
Kenya Camp Mission Trip
During October and November, we will be collecting items for the Kenya Youth Camp team to take with them on the December mission trip. For a list of items, please see our  ProjectSHARE webpage. Please bring your donations to the Information Desk in the worship center any Sunday.

Missionary of the Week: September 30
Jan King (retired)

Jan continues to serve with JAARS Health Services as a staff nurse.
 
Pray for Jan as she is working more in the clinic, even in her retirement. Pray for her two sons in the military. Pray she would have wisdom in balancing ministry to her family with the needs at JAARS.
