Move Minneapolis, a program of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber, promotes sustainable transportation – mass transit, carpooling, shared-mobility, biking, walking and telework – through outreach and education for downtown Minneapolis employers, workers, and residents.
#MoveLikeABoss

Getting there doesn't require a car. Express bus it in the morning, grab a Lime, Spin, or Lyft scooter to hop over to a meeting, then take a Nice Ride bike back home. Ride the rails or walk the trails. These options are easy, accessible, affordable, and undeniably cool.

You’ll reap so much more from these non-driving modes than their cool #aesthetic. Get your workout in on a bike. Make it to lunch faster on a scooter. Cultivate a bunch of new friends on your bus. Save a bundle.

Choosing sustainable transportation is a no brainer. You win regardless of which option you use.

35W@94 Project Status: Stage 4 (of five)
The 35W@94 Downtown to Crosstown project is being completed in five stages. The first three are finished, and Stage Four launched this month. More lanes, ramps and bridges are being reopened. Transit and carpooling are your best way to avoid construction congestion...and save a lot of money and frustration.

Simultaneously, Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit is being integrated into the I-35 design. The Orange Line, which just received its final federal funding, will provide a direct dedicated bus lane from Burnsville into Downtown starting in 2021.

Metropass it Into Town

Move Minneapolis is out talking transportation benefits with employers. Metropass delivers the largest share of commuters into the city each day. Companies and the workforce reap the benefits of an easy, fast and efficient way to commute on transit from all over the region.

More than 300 regional businesses and organizations provide access to discounted, unlimited-ride transit passes to their employees. Large and small employers are eligible. Passes offer a pre-tax savings advantage for employees.

Move Minneapolis is eager to talk to your company about Metropass and all of the commuting options.

Josh Johnson - Advanced Mobility Manager at City of Minneapolis
Scooters are rolling in 150 American cities, making commuting more efficient — and fun — for riders. The City of Minneapolis contracted with three companies, Lime, Lyft and Spin, to provide a total of 2000 scooters. 800 scooters are designated for the downtown area and North Loop, and the remaining 1200 are distributed in neighborhoods throughout Minneapolis.

Scooter renters must be 18 or older, have a valid driver’s license and a credit, debit, or prepaid card. Users should wear a helmet and know the riding and parking rules.
