LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM - Registration is Open

Registration is now open for our two day Leadership Symposium in Yakima, WA September 26-27, 2019. This symposium is designed to provide the management skills needed for those water professionals seeking career advancement. We will offer tracks for multiple levels of management including:
  • Becoming a lead or supervisor - what skills do you need to manage your peers?
  • Moving into mid-level management
  • Senior management and elected officials
  • Plus the annual Young Professional Summit will be taking place as part of this symposium
Our morning sessions will see multiple Key Note Speakers include George Hawkins formally of DC Water, Sam Davidson founder of Batch and Cool People Care and many more!

Afternoon sessions will include multiple sessions within our tracks listed above. 

Don't miss this unique training opportunity designed for water professionals who are moving into positions previously held by retiring baby boomers.

VANCOUVER CONFERENCE - Wrap Up

Just over 1000 people attended our Section Conference last month in Vancouver, Washington. If you missed it, you missed a great time had  by all.  The Lower Columbia Subsection welcomed attendees from our three states   to a conference that was filled with world class technical content and superb networking opportunities.  

The conference kicked off with a day of either golf or pre-conference technical sessions and culminated with the   passing of the gavel from outgoing Section Chair  Mel Damewood   to current  Section Chair James Dean. Look for a complete conference recap in the July edition of Water Matters.  

Highlights included Cheryl Capron  winning the Powell Lindsay Award; and Bob Ward taking home the association's highest award - The George Warren Fuller. 
  
Post Conference Survey:  All conference attendees were sent a link to a survey. Please take a moment to complete this quick survey.   Your responses will help us as we plan for next years  conference in Spokane, Washington. And by completing the survey you are automatically entered to win a family vacation to Suncadia Resort.

CEU Letters:  CEU letters will be emailed to conference 
attendees who requested them in the online registration by the first part of July. The email will come   from Action Registration and will be sent to the person who completed your registration if you did not register yourself. If you do not receive your letter please check your spam filter prior to emailing the  Section office.
