     Ellis Conley has been a great pastor! From the day I met him I found him to be a very positive and caring person. The ease with which he went about the responsibilities of working with staff could not have been better, and his sense of humor made the work fun. His confidence was tempered with humility. Along with his associate Jeremy, he brought a vibrancy to the worship experience along with a great sense of timing.
     Ellis made my transition and return to Forrest Burdette very easy, fully understanding the dynamics of my situation. He greeted Donna and Christian with love and has made them feel a loved and valued part of the church. He has truly been a pastor to me and showed his love by being there when I had my heart procedure. He officiated at the vow renewal ceremony Donna and I had in 2018. Christian thinks the world of him.  
     I  have been working with pastors in a professional capacity my entire adult life and have never found a pastor easier to work with than Ellis Conley! I will always cherish the memory of our working together. Our entire family wish Ellis and Julia a wonderful retirement together with blessings too many to count!

Vacation Bible School is Underway. Join us!
This year we are headed to outer space, all the way "To Mars and Beyond!" And we're guided and strengthened by God's power. Our VBS verse is Ephesians 3:20 (CEB) -  Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us!  W e will learn how God's power provides us with: Faith, Boldness, Kindness, Thankfulness, and Hope.
      We blasted off Sunday evening and will continue each evening through Thursday, June 27, from 6-8 p.m., with a free family dinner at 5:15 (please, let us know about dietary restrictions). Our morning sessions run Monday, June 24 - Friday, June 28 from 9-11 a.m., for the children enrolled in COM's summer programs.
      Invite and bring friends so they can join in the galactic-sized fun!

Join us this Sunday, June 30, between services, as we welcome our new senior pastor and his wife, Ed & Brenda Grant. We will also have a  Celebration of Jeremy Daniels' reappointment as our associate pastor.  This gathering will be held in the Fellowship Hall at 9:45 a.m.
