City Council Approves Transportation Study
Earlier this week, City Council voted unanimously to approve a city-wide transportation study in Lakeway. This will be the first of its kind, which will focus on identifying transportation fixes as it relates to local interconnected arterials, with possible alternatives to busy 620 and Highway 71. A Transportation Steering Committee has also been created to help guide the study and evaluate proposed projects. The public will be able to give input on candidate projects in the next few months. The final report should be issued the early part of 2020, before it possibly goes before voters in the form of a Mobility Bond in May.

Two banners are on the roads now alerting drivers to be careful for possible deer crossing in the area. You may see those banners in Serene Hills and along Lohmans Crossing Road. Make sure to keep an eye on the streets for deer that may be about to cross. Also, as a reminder, it is against the law to feed the deer here in the City of Lakeway.
