Create Little Rock, Think Big Little Rock, the Arkansas Association of Black Professionals, and the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center have partnered to present a Little Rock mayoral forum for young professionals on September 11th, 6-7:30pm, at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center (501 W. 9th) in the 3rd floor ballroom.
Stop by before the forum between 4:30 and 6pm for complimentary drinks and light hors d'oeuvres on the first floor as part of
the Little Rock Regional Chamber's "Innovations and Libations" event. During Innovations and Libations, you will be able to tour the museum where living history actors will be playing the roles of African American entrepreneurs from throughout Arkansas' history.
The mayoral forum offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from Little Rock's five mayoral candidates on issues that are important to young professionals. Questions will focus heavily on the six topics of study in the Think Big Little Rock report:

Diversity & Inclusion
Economic Development
Public Education
Public Safety & Governance
Transportation & Environment

This month we're headed to a brand new venue in the heart of the River Market District - Live Life Chill. LLC is located right behind the Rev Room music venue where Rumba restaurant used to be. The decor and the drinks have a laid-back tropical theme, and the weather should be mild enough by the end of the month to enjoy those drinks outside on the large patio overlooking Riverfront Park!

The bi-annual
Jazz in the Park
concert series is back Wednesdays in September. Little Rock has a rich musical heritage that is being carried on by some very talented artists. It's the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau's (LRCVB) fourth year to partner with Art Porter Music Education, Inc. (APME), a local organization that provides scholarships to Arkansas music students who want to further their education while promoting community service and volunteer initiatives. Downtown Little Rock Partnership Presents:
Main Street Food Truck Festival
Sun, Sep 9th, 11am - 6pm
The 8th Annual Main Street Food Truck Festival will be held on Sunday, September 9 (moved from its original date of Sep 8th due to weather). It will feature over 60 food trucks, dozens of craft vendors, a variety of entertainment buskers, and much more! It will again span six blocks North and South along Main Street and three block East and West along Capitol Avenue. Every block will be loaded with plenty of food, entertainment, and beer.

The Arkansas Association of Black Professionals will host its third annual Black Food Truck Festival Saturday, September 15th, on the campus of Philander Smith College in front of the James Cox Building. This family-friendly event is designed to celebrate black entrepreneurship and culinary skills while showcasing the cultural diversity of African American businesses.
