Joseph Nader appointed Director of Enrollment Management

Joseph Nader, most recently Enrollment Specialist, Senior Assistant Director of Admissions & Recruitment at Mercy College, has been appointed Director of Enrollment Management at St. Catharine Academy.

Nader brings both enrollment and sales experience to the new fulltime position. He is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Mercy College. During his time at Mercy, Nader met and exceeded admissions goals, created events to attract prospective students and used social media to stay connected.

He believes the key to reaching admissions goals is making personal connections and showing all SCA has to offer, including its strong academics and family-like atmosphere.

"The atmosphere here at St. Catharine Academy is electric," says Nader. "The students and staff bring passion every day and I couldn't be more excited to be a part of such a great environment."

Ashley DeLeon '19 admitted to
3-2 Fordham/Columbia engineering program

Ashley DeLeon '19 has been admitted to the 3-2 Fordham/Columbia engineering program, which will enable her to earn a bachelor's in engineering physics from Fordham University and a master's degree in engineering from Columbia University, all in five years.

" I chose this program because I really feel empowered as a woman to become successful in the field of engineering," says Ashley. " Not many other schools offered this opportunity, and the fact that it's closer to home would allow me to stay near my family and those who mean a lot to me while fulfilling something that my heart is set on."

President of Student Council, Ashley is also a founding member of the Dance Team, and a member of the Robotics Team, Beta Club and Amnesty International. She pointed to Mrs. Petrignani and Ms. Hawthorne as major influences during her time at SCA. "They always pushed and inspired me to push my limits and to reach my aspirations," she says.
