Lennon Loop This Sunday!
We hope you will join us this Sunday, July 22 beginning at 9am at
Alum Creek Park in Westerville for the Lennon Loop. The Lennon Loop is an annual race to honor and celebrate St. Francis DeSales High School past faculty member, Bob Lennon. Bob dedicated 40 years of his life to the students of DeSales High School as a science teacher and cross country coach. Proceeds from this event support the Bob Lennon Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Volunteers are needed as well!

for a three-week summer intensive training at Joffrey Ballet New York. Their studios are on the Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan.

Back to School Form in PowerSchool
In an attempt to streamline the collection of back to school paperwork, we have created a simple online form for you to complete. Please note EVERY student must complete the Back to School Form prior to the first day of school. This form includes important emergency contact information as well as the compliance form for the St. Francis DeSales High School Family Handbook.
The Back to School Form is located in the navigation menu of your PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you have any questions regarding the completion of this form or accessing your Parent Portal, please contact the Enrollment Office at [email protected].
Please note: It is the responsibility of each student and parent to be familiar with the school regulations. The policies and procedures stated in the handbook will be strictly enforced. Students and parents both must sign the compliance form stating that they have read, and agree to abide by the handbook. The 2018-19 Family Handbook is located on the SFD website at www.sfdstallions.org/family-handbook. Students will also have the Family Handbook on their iPads. Once you have reviewed the Family Handbook, please complete the online Compliance Form with your electronic signature. The Compliance Form is located in the Back to School Form section found in the navigation menu of your PowerSchool Parent Portal. Compliance form must be signed by August 31.

Assistance from Charity Newsies
Charity Newsies can help with your back-to-school shopping. If your child is in need of clothing essentials like new pants, shirts, socks, school uniforms or winter wear, members are taking applications at the following Columbus Metropolitan Library Branches now thru August 25.
Eligibility Requirements
Families must meet all of the following requirements to be eligible for assistance:
- Children and Guardian must reside in Franklin County, Ohio.
- Children must be enrolled and attending school, grades K - 12 (public, private, catholic or charter)
- Children in kindergarten or any child 16 and older must obtain a current letter from their school verifying enrollment and attendance. The verification letter must be presented at the time of the clothing appointment. Children who are 16 and older must present a picture ID

Westerville Transportation Payment Request Deadline
All parents living in Westerville, who have not already done so, should reach out to the Westerville Transportation Office in order to request payment in lieu of transportation services for the 2017-18 school year since they do not provide busing services. The paperwork is due by this
Friday, July 20th
.
This is also a reminder to all other parents who reside in school districts where transportation is not provided to make the same request.

As we begin our new school year, we invite you to join our administration and members of the St. Francis DeSales High School faculty for an introductory meeting and prayer service. This event is for both parents and students.
Freshmen Icebreaker and Parent Social

Where: SFD Gymnasium and Cafeteria
Directly following the Parent/Student Meeting and Prayer Service, students are invited to the Icebreaker Dance.
Parents are invited to join us for a social in the Cafeteria while the students are at the Icebreaker.
Boys Lacrosse State Championship Celebration Ceremony

We invite you to join the 2018 St. Francis DeSales High School Boys Lacrosse Division II State Championship team as we celebrate their accomplishments this past season. All are welcome!
Freshmen Orientation
When: August 15 from 9am - 2pm
All incoming freshmen are required to attend the Freshmen Orientation. Check-in will take place in the Theater Lobby on the south side of the building starting at 8:30am.
Parents of Athletes Meeting

REMINDER: Every student planning to participate in a sport during the 2018-19 school year needs to have a pre-participation physical completed by their doctor.

Eucharistic Adoration
St. Francis DeSales High School offers Eucharistic Adoration during the school year.
