REV. FLORENCE CAPLOW
Each year for our UUCUC auction one of the items is the privilege of choosing a topic for a sermon. Last year Kathleen Robbins had the winning bid, and this topic, on inequality, is her chosen one. We all know that inequality is increasing in our nation and around the world. What does it mean for us? How can we respond? What are the ethical and moral dimensions of inequality? Come watch Rev. Caplow wrestle with these thorny questions.
Do you want her to speak on a particular topic next year? Make a bid at our April auction!

REV. FLORENCE CAPLOW & REV. SALLY FRITSCHE
After a long, hard, isolated year, this Easter we see glimmerings of renewal: the daffodils blooming in front yards, the first hugs between grandchildren and grandparents, the first tentative forays from our households. In this service, we will celebrate this renewal, in the natural world and in our lives. The UUCUC Virtual Choir will be singing. If you have spring photos to share, or signs of renewal you are grateful for, please send them to sunday-services-materials@uucuc.org.
And join Rev. Florence Caplow for a sunrise walk at Meadowbrook Park on Easter morning! Meet at the Race Street parking lot at 6:10 am.

Please consider donating to the Little Free Pantries run by Julie Laut and AJ Herzog, which they have kept active daily since late spring. In order to address increased and unique needs this winter, they have created an Amazon wish list. All items will be delivered to Julie's house and shared between the two pantries. Donations of all items will continue to be accepted as usual at both locations, if you want to bring them in person.
Thank you for your support and generosity ~ Julie and AJ

From Kim Crawford: A joy that my son, Liam is home on leave for one week from the Army's 1st Infantry Division. Due to COVID, he has not been home in over a year and a half! And prayers as he deploys to the Middle East this April to defend our country's freedom.
From Priscilla Kron: My heart is heavy this morning for my cousins in NY. Their only son, 19, died unexpectedly at home on Friday evening. He was the light of their lives. Some of you have purchased masks from her. Please think of her as you wear them and send blessings their way.
From the Pitcel Family: Sorrow for Michelle's mother who is in the hospital battling a Staph infection after hip surgery; waiting to find out if a fourth surgery will be necessary to clear the infection.
From Cindi Lou: A candle of concern for Tom Neufer-Emswiler. Tom was admitted to the ICU at Carle yesterday. Sharon asks for all your prayers for Tom as he fights through this latest health challenge.
Please send your joys or sorrows to joysandsorrows@uucuc.org any time before the Joys and Sorrows portion of the service. They will be read aloud.
